Hi! I am Alok. I am an editor with a diverse range of experiences that have shaped my approach to documentary editing, allowing me to craft engaging stories. I started my editing career as and assistant editor in New York City before moving back home to Nepal where I have continued editing. As the sole editor on 26 episodes of the weekly television program “Saglo Samaj”, I honed my ability to work efficiently and maintain a keen eye for detail.
My experience curating and operating Film Southasia, the first documentary film festival focused on South Asia, has deepened my understanding of impactful storytelling, making me a more insightful editor and collaborator. I value long-term creative partnerships with filmmakers who are passionate about exploring complex narratives and approach personal experiences with honesty and vulnerability.
